I have Azera Sorceress Armor on a follower which is working fine but when I get too far away from them and they teleport to catch up, the SMP skirt explodes and I have to restart the game. Has anyone come across this before?

Thank you the response, this makes sence. Turning physics on/off when I get too far away would be a headache because it happens fairly often. Unequipping and re-equipping the armour does work however 99% of the time it is impossible. The problem is that when this happens, the cloth explodes infinitely which means that I can't see the npc to talk to them. The other issue is that when this happens it lags my game so bad that I can barely move.
From what you have told me and what I have experienced it seems that this problem doesn't have a viable solution. I wonder if it is possible to create a mod that wold actually teleport the npc to you rather then this super speed drag... I'll have to look into it.
It's likely because the follower doesn't actually teleport from point A to point B instantaneously, rather, they're simply super-speed dragged to the closest acceptable position after they get far away enough. This can cause SMP and other physics things to slingshot, hence your explosion problem. A way I can think to fix this without restart is by having a mod that toggles physics on and off for them, so when you're moving really fast you can disable, then re-enable at will after the teleport process happens. You could also try simply un-equipping and reequipping their armor after the "explosion". Hope you find a more permanent solution!
